nah he was diagnosed in Dec so not sure yet.. but according to wikipedia, due to the delay, they are going to do a 6 season prequel of spartacus.. so im assuming it will be revolving around crixis?

and yes, it is spartacus himself, well the actor anyway.

Hmmm I hope he recovers from it all and it doesn't turn out rubbish. Crixis talks too weird, almost like he has been whiskey too much nowdays.

Anyhow here is hopeing.

I really got into this show, the character development was mint!

And as has been said, wicked ending

just catching up with this show again, I love it so much

Pre-production is underway on a six-part prequel to Starz's hit original series Spartacus: Blood and Sand, reports USA TODAY's Gary Levin.

Andy Whitfield, who played the title character in the series, will appear in the prequel briefly, but Lucy Lawless and John Hannah take center stage in this story of the rise of the House of Batiatus and its champions before Spartacus arrives as a captured Thracian slave.

The show had hoped to keep production crews going while Whitfield recovered from cancer treatment. Filming of the second season of Spartacus was supposed to begin last month, so this fills some time -- and brings back both Lawless and Hannah, who were killed off in the finale.

With the title still to be determined, the prequel will begin production this summer in New Zealand, and is slated to air on Starz in January 2011.
