Veronica and Pat Lee were here in New York for the Day of the Dead Party, a continuing tradition at Haven Art. They are hosting a two week artist residency in Patzquaro Mexico August 11 - 25, 2008. The setting is in the mountains of Michoacan, an old Spanish Colonial City, an artist town overlooking the Lake Island of Janitzio.

Troy Night Out
Haven Art was a presence at Troy Night Out summer 2007. The last Friday of every month, this city comes alive opening its gallery and eatery doors inviting what’s new in. June, July, and August the Haven Art artists started quite a buzz at 7 State Street, available for venues. The city continues to open its streets creating an important new art scene. (TNO) Haven Art hopes to be back on those streets soon.
One day workshop - Glass studio
Hecksher Museum Members are coming to Colby’s glass studio for a one day workshop. Fusing, slumping, blowing glass are techniques that are proving to be very versatile manifesting its use from sculpture to functional ware to designer jewelry.
The Bead Room
The Bead Room is wide open all day Wednesday, 11am to 9pm for designing your own signature pieces - accessible and affordable. We provide the teacher and an extensive selection of the most beautiful gemstones and beads from all over the world for your perusal. Add bits of a favorite broken necklace or earring lying at the bottom of a drawer to our latest selection beads and you go home with a one of a kind signature piece. The bead room is open everyday, without a teacher for your convenience. Come in and look around.
Potter’s Workshop Returns!
Potter’s Workshop was so successful in June 2007; we decided to do it again this June 6 and 7, 2008. Masters of Fanciful and Functional Pottery will feature Gina Mars and Fong Choo demonstrating the creation of one of his exceptional tea pots.
Winter Student Art Show
The reception for the Winter Student Art Show is Saturday, December 1 from 3pm to 6 pm. The work is exceptional. We invite all to come and enjoy. The exhibition will be on view through December.
